Yvette Linehan is an award-winning artist based in Portishead, UK. She works in pen and ink, watercolour and charcoal to create characterful, colourful and highly distinctive human scenes.
She also produces beautiful, bespoke glass and ceramic bowls.
Yvette trained as a graphic designer in Bristol, and her work takes inspiration from her life and the people of Somerset. Sometimes her images begin with an idea, others with a squiggle.
Her abstract picture Love’s Insanity was awarded the Selectors’ Choice Prize at the Clifton Arts Club annual exhibition. More recently, she exhibited in Bath Society of Arts’ open exhibition at the Victoria Gallery alongside world-renowned artists like David Inshaw. Her work What Will Survive Of Us Is Love was shortlisted for the RWA 164 Annual Open Exhibition.
Yvette has also exhibited during North Somerset Arts week with fellow Portishead artists Deborah Jenkins and Sharne Tasney.
Many of her pictures have been made in to popular cards and prints. Her commissions range from private works to a nine-foot mural on the wall of St Joseph’s School in Portishead.
